Our breeding of section B Welsh Ponies started in 1972. Our father and grandfather Freerk Bleker senior bought his first pony. A three year old filly by Kirby Cane Statecraft. A strong good moving grey filly , with lots of bone. This mare brought a couple of years later a very nice filly foal by the famous stallion Tetworth Massine. In those years the Tetworth Stud was very succesfull in the UK. The best of Downland bloodlines were combined with Solway Master Bronze. Our father and grandfather was very impressed by the spectacular moving of Tetworth Massine , who also won a lot under saddle , and by his fantastic nice character. He often said: the stallion is shown by a little child and he is behaving so well. The combination of our Kirby Cane Statecraft mare with the more breedy Tetworth Massine was very succesfull.

The just mentioned filly foal , called Sunday Morning , was a winner at county level shows but more important, she brought us later a mare we will never forget. A three year old Sunday Morning was covered by Downland Fleet Foot ( by the Downland Dauphin son Shawburry Bittermint and out of the famous Downland Love in the Mist ) We tried to strenghten the downland qualities in our breeding. And with the greatest succes we could hope. She brought us in 1982 , a couple of days after the day our father and grandfather died , the fillly Wolling's Digalon Merch. This was the beginning of our Wolling Stud.

During many years she brought us important stallions like Wolling's Delphi and Wolling's Dino ( champion national stallion show) , but even more important she gave us some fillies wich grew to very good broodmares. The most important of them is Wolling's Dauphine ( by Pendock Plato who is by Kirby Cane Gauntlet). This combination of Digalon Merch with here breedy downland expression and super thin skin shining even when there was no sun on the one hand, and the very good stock getter Pendock Plato with lots of bone and very strong movements, brought us so many luck. Wolling's Dauphine had a full brother Delphi ( a stallion in Germany ) and two full sisters called Duet and Doreen ( a winner at county level and always in the top three at national level ) Dauphine her self was two times champion at county level and always in the top two at national level.

At this moment she is still at our stud and we have a yearling out of her ( by Kulltorps juventus which is by Paddock Camarque ) , and a dauhgter by Blethni Puck ( kindly leased this year from Rowol stud, our good friends Gerard and Wilma van Erp) , a grand-daughter called Wolling's Dauphine Deux ( overall champion Deutschland Cup 2007 , judge Mats Olson of Sweden) and a g-g-daughter called Wolling's Deux Geste ( by Mynach Master Mariner who is by Eyarth Beau Geste ) Dauphine is very influential in the breeding in the Netherlands , Germany , Poland , Russia and Italy because of her famous son Wolling' s Dante ( by Den Bramels Rio who is by Eyarth Rio ) In 2013 we expect two foals by Dante's son Spring Star's Jarno ( champion national stallion show 2012 ). In this way we hope to strenghten the qualities of our so beloved mares Wolling's Digalon Merch and her daughter Wolling's Dauphine.

In 1989 we decided to start with a second bloodline in our breeding. During Fayre Oaks we bought a yaerling filly Horsegate Linnet ( by Twyford Arcadia x Pendock Peregrine), very close related to the famous Twyford Signal. Linnet was young stock champion at Royal Bath and West before she moved to our stud. In the Netherlands she achieved all the society awards wich are available , champion at county level and always within the top-three at national level. As a brood mare she brought us a beautifull champion colt foal by Eyarth Rio. A special combination was between Linnet and Coed Coch Adrian: she gave us the colt Wolling's Liberator ( who sadly died as a three years old ) and the filly Wolling's Lucy who won her yearlingclass during the international show in Paris. Lucy now performs well under saddle in Poland, but before she moved to Poland she brought us Wolling's Larosa ( by Steehorst Celebration who is by Eyarh Celebration ) who years later was winner of the yearling class at the international show in Waregem/Belgium and later was reserve-youngstock champion. Linnet is still at our stud and 24 years old she is running with the young broodmares and one of them is here granddaughter Wolling’s Lucetta ( by Wolling’s Lucy x Thornberry Knight Errant our beloved stud stallion) , who was placed fourth in a strong yearling class at the international show 2011. We hope Lucetta will give us nice of spring with the welsh type and the same very nice character from Horsegate Linnet.
